CHENNAI: Actor-turned-politician Khushboolost her bag containing two of her phones at a shop in Express Avenue mall. Khushboo was accompanied by her manager Anbu to the shop in the complex, where she had gone to buy some DVDs.
She had kept her bag containing the cellphones on the table near the entrance and went to browse the racks for DVDs. When she returned, she found the bag missing. Despite searching all over, she couldn't find it. Based on Anbu's complaint, the Anna Salai police have registered a theft case and are searching for the culprits.
During questioning, Anbu told the police that he suspected two north Indian youths were behind the theft. The police said the duo were present in the shop when Khushboo was there. They left early after buying some goods.
"We have collected the CCTV footage from the shop and the mall. We will nab the suspected persons soon and recover the stolen valuables," a police officer said.
