Namaste, SRK fave words of Swiss pickpockets

SharukhIndians visiting the picturesque Swiss city of Geneva beware of any person who greets you with a 'Namaste' or 'Shahrukh' as he can be a pickpocket.

As one walks down the road, especially in the evening, a well-dressed person might just greet you with a namaste and say Shahrukh Khan, bringing a smile on your face. Within seconds, his other friends would join you and indulge in some Bollywood dance steps. And even without you realising, they would just melt into the crowd with your wallet.

"It is always nice to be vigilant. Immigrants have become an issue here and most of such small crimes are committed by them," said a tour officer in the city.

Since Indians are easily recognisable here, they are made targets of such ingenious acts of pickpockets.

With Switzerland opening up its borders, thanks to the Schengen visa, thousands of immigrants find their way in to the picturesque country, made famous in India by Sharukh Khan's blockbuster movie 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'.

Immigrants' issue has also become a hot political topic in the country, especially in Geneva, a city that shuts down by four or five in the evening.
