From One Lakh Car To 22 Crore: Nano

ndia's cheapest car is all set to possibly the most expensive too. A Tata Nano that has been built using gold will be launched by Tata Motors chairman Ratan Tata in Mumbai. The golden Nano has been built to commemorate the 5000th year of jewellery designing in India.

The golden Nano is said to be worth Rs.22 crores and is adorned by several gems and precious stones. More than 22 jewellery workers were involved in the development of this car. Over 80 kilos of gold and 15 kilos of silver have been used to craft the exterior panels of this golden Nano.

The golden Nano will not be on sale and will be retained by the Tata Group. This car might be used as a marketing tool to prop up the sagging sales of the Nano.

This is not the first time a golden car has been made., A sheik from Dubai had a Mercedes-Benz S-Class custom built using pure gold. Another person from the Middle East ordered a gold plated Bugatti Veyron.
