Santhosh Pandit got Award for Krishnanum Radhayum

No awards for guessing who got an award within two weeks of doing his first movie? . Actor Madhu gave away the award to none other than Santhosh pandit. YMCA Hall in Trivandrum was filled to capacity with admirers of Santhosh Pandit.


 “Santhosh is being given an award for his audacity and guts in taking the entire responsibility of making the film Radhayum Krishnanum” , said the organizers of the function, Ekalavya Charitable Trust. From script writing to make-up, he did it all! “In these times of numerous unreleased Malayalam films, it is a wonder that his film did not suffer the same fate”, said minister Ganesk Kumar in his felicitation.

In his acceptance speech, Santhosh said that initially when the film was released, he had abusive telephone calls lasting from three to fifteen minutes and many calls were abruptly cut off only because the callers ran out of cash. He was inspired by Mahabhagavatham to make this film about Radha and Krishna, he added. According to Santhosh, his decision to act and sing was deliberate because he realized that to make one famous one has to do it all! And to cap it all, Santhosh rendered a song from his upcoming film “Jithubai enna Chocolatebai” and the expressions on the crowd’s faces said it all!
