Superstar Mammootty's son Dulquar Salman married architect Amal Sufiya on Thursday, December 22nd. Mammootty along with wife Sulfath later hosted a grand reception in celebration of the marriage of their son at Kochi Ramada resort on Monday, December 26, 2011. 

Many prominent personalities from various walks of life were present to bless the newly wed couple.

Anna Hazare threatened with HIV+ needles in anonymous letter, FIR lodged

NEW DELHI: Last week the police received a letter that threatened to inject Anna Hazare and his supporters with needles contaminated with the HIVvirus. The letter said if Anna remained adamant on hisLokpal agitation, they will be attacked with the deadly virus. 

The police, now beginning to take the threat seriously, have registered an FIR and begun looking for those who sent the letter. The letter states that "a needle team, which has prepared 500 HIV positive needles, would inject the virus in atleast 1,000 people at the demonstration". 

This anonymous letter was sent to DCP Central office on December 9. 

'Kolaveri Di' success proves power of online medium: Shadow Band

New Delhi: The success of Tamil-English number 'Kolaveri di' even before its official launch has proved the power of online social networking platforms. Members of music group Shadow Band feel the online medium has given a window to new talent and can be a stepping stone to a career in Bollywood.

The two-member band comprises Rajan Adlakha, an architect, and Vineet Malhotra, a TV anchor. The former schoolmates came together at a reunion in 2009 and shared thoughts on music, following which they decided to try their hand at composing.

The band was formed in February 2010 and their music has found online fans.
