Neyyattinkara Election Results 2012
Pranab meets Sonia, Congress says he is still in the race
Earlier, on WednesdayTrinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party, came out with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's name, along with that of former president APJ Abdul Kalam and former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee as their
Their political manoeuvre probably put Congress' initial choice of finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and vice president Hamid Ansari out of serious reckoning and opened up the possibility of several scenarios.
Though some Congress sources ruled out the possibility of Singh participating in the presidential race, there was no official response from the party to the odd manner in which SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and TMC leader Mamata Banerjee mentioned the PM name at a joint press conference.
The West Bengal chief minister drove to Yadav's house from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's residence where, after the meeting, Banerjee had disclosed to the media that Mukherjee and Ansari were the Congress party' choices - and in that order.
Later, ignoring both the names, Mulayam and Mamata declared that the PM, Kalam and Chatterjee were their choices, saying any one of them would be acceptable to them. They also made it clear that the names they had proposed were not in order of preference.

New Facebook Concept Phone Emerges Online
Without having anything to go on, Bonikowski rendered this image entirely on his own. He believes the phone will be Facebook blue, made from metal, and will adorn a 4.2-inch screen. Bonikowski’s mock-up also contains a 5MP front facing camera coupled with an 8MP shooter on the rear. Charging the phone is done through the wireless inductive method which would include a dedicated “Facebook” docking station (seen above). As far as internals go, we have no information in that regard but when we are talking about a hypothetical rendering done by someone who doesn’t even work for Facebook or HTC it shouldn’t really matter. Either way, bonikowski’s rendering looks a heck of a lot more appealing that what HTC came up with before. Head to the source link if you want to check out more of his design.

SARTRE Successfully Tests Driverless Cars
The SARTRE project, a project for Safe Road Trains for the Environment successfully tested a convoy of three self driving cars in Spain. It was recently only American internet giant Google was licensed to test its self driven cars in the state of Nevada.
SARTRE, the project which is a joint venture between seven European companies with Sweden's Volvo being the only auto company, successfully tested the convoy of vehicles in a Spanish highway for about 200 km without any safety issues. The test was highly successful as the highway was populated with other vehicles.
However, the working of Google's car and SARTRE's is different. While the Google self-driven car can be taken anywhere without a driver, the SARTRE convoy cars are linked together via wireless communication, with the cars responding, ie accelerating, braking and turning according to the leading car which is driven manually.
